Waist Deep (Speedlog Score 50)

Meagan Good may be some of the best eye candy one could ask for but the movie was pretty standard summer fun. I was not as disappointed as many critics and that kept my expectations low. The car chase was not that great and not as long as it had been reported to be. The movie had it's moments for sure, just not enough of them.

The Shape of Things

I have been meaning to take this shot of the spot where I park at work most days. It reminds me of the TV ads VW once used. Those are vacuum spheres for a large high temperature wind tunnel. They spent a million tax dollars renovating it and then ruined the whole thing the first time it was used.

The Omen (Speedlog Score 60)

In spite of what many of the critics say, the acting is not that bad. If anything I would blame the script or the directing. Omen was above average summer entertainment. Julia Stiles and Liev Schreiber rarely dissapoint. The film had nowhere near the atmosphere the original had and relied on the music score too much for tension. The cast was underutilized. Some important elements of the original were missed in this less than faithful remake.
